Bearing Bushes

Bearing bushes, also known as bushings, are independent plain bearings that get inserted into a housing to provide a surface for rotary applications. Plain bearings are suitable for rotating, oscillating and linear movements, whereas straight – also known as cylindrical – bushings can accommodate radial loads only and flanged bushings can accommodate radial and axial loads only in one direction. Each combination of bushing design and material offers characteristic properties and make a bushing particularly suitable for certain applications.

Some of the different types of bearing bushes include:

  • Solid bronze bushings
  • Sintered bronze bushings
  • Wrapped bronze bushings
  • PTFE composite bushings
  • POM composite bushings
  • PTFE polyamide bushings
  • Filament wound bushings
