Driveshafts

BSC is the largest distributor of driveshafts and accompanying driveline products in Australia, offering products to the industrial, mining and food and beverage sectors. A mechanical component for transmitting torque and rotation, driveshafts are used to connect or allow relative movement between components of a drive train that cannot be otherwise connected because of distance. As torque carriers, driveshafts are subject to high torsion and shear stress. They must therefore be strong enough to bear theses stresses, while also being lightweight themselves. Driveshafts often incorporate one or more universal joints, jaw couplings or rag joints, and sometimes a splined joint or prismatic joint, to allow for variations in the alignment and distance between the driving and driven components. At BSC, we stock a complete range of driveshafts from world-leading suppliers such as Hardy Spicer, GSP, NTN and GMB. To learn more, contact us today.
