Matching the right belt to a drive system can be the make or break of entire operation, mitigating unplanned downtime and costs associated with machine failure. When a belt is old or damaged, replacement isn’t as simple as finding a new of one of the same dimensions and swapping is straight out.
That is why Motion Australia is using the Gates Design Power™ software to help customers choose the best possible belt products for their agricultural equipment.
“Once a belt is chosen, it gives a description of how it will integrate with the existing system, which can be saved as a PDF file with pictures,” explains Dallas Lange, Gates’ Business Development Manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory. “It highlights really clearly what the product benefits are, complete with datasheets and a breakdown on its compatibility with the application.”
