Hydraulic solutions for precision seeding

Managing clumping and build ups in hydraulic air seeding equipment can be a challenge for growers due to the residue that gathers in the seeding hose. Disc seeders are preferred over traditional tyne seeder machines because they can handle heavy crop residues. However, one limitation of disc seeders is residue ‘hair-pinning,’ where residue is forced into the furrow, leading to poor seed to soil contact and reduced ability to cut down residue. To minimize residue, growers need to invest in premium hydraulic down-pressure systems for their disc seeder units.

CRAM, a manufacturer of hydraulic equipment and fluid power systems, can design, manufacture and retain custom-engineered hydraulic solutions for equipment manufacturers in the agriculture sector.
