Motion, a trusted name in the design, fabrication, and installation of industrial infrastructure, recently took on a challenging project for one of Australia’s largest manufacturing companies. The task was to replace an aging acid tank, surrounded by essential production and service infrastructure, which required careful planning and execution.
To overcome site challenges, Motion prepared the site by cutting the old tank and pipework into manageable pieces. Then, they installed a new 4-meter high, 4.2-meter diameter circular tank made of acid-resistant S32205 duplex stainless steel. The tank had detailed drawings, including piping take-off points, and a comprehensive stair system for easy access through the manholes.
