Following heavy rainfall and flooding in February, the Townsville community is in the process of rehabilitating the town’s infrastructure. The team at AIP Brisbane have been working hard in the aftermath of the natural disaster, supplying hosing equipment to several major companies involved in the dewatering effort.
“Dewatering cannot begin until the water levels start to subside, otherwise you would just be pumping water to water,” explains Troy Giggins, Category Manager for Industrial Hose and Connectors at AIP. “So, for example, when you’ve got an underground carpark that becomes flooded, that requires a lot of smaller pumps and hosing to move everything to the street or down a drain that isn’t already flooded.”
